The fan-favorite Dead or Alive ninja will give Ryu a helping hand in the enhanced remake for the Wii U.
Wii U fans will have a lot to play when they pick up the brand new console including Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions that released in March may not have garnered much acclaim, but Team Ninja has learned from their mistakes and is giving the Wii U version all the goods.
The most prominent inclusion is the return of Ayane who only made a brief cameo appearance in Ninja Gaiden 3. In Razor’s Edge she is a playable character with her own campaign that involves the Black Spider Clan’s affiliation with the terrorists from Ninja Gaiden 3′s main plot.
Ayane isn’t the only inclusion in Razor’s Edge. Weapons such as the Lunar Staff will be returning, new magics will be included, the upgrade system returns, and body parts will go flying thanks to the return of dismemberment. It is extremely unlikely that any of this content will be added to the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions due to the fact that Nintendo will be publishing this enhanced remake.
The Wii U GamePad will be used in the game to select weapons and magic. Those who would rather use the Pro Controller can easily plug that in and play with it.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is due November 18 in North America and November 30 in Europe, which are the days the Wii U will launch. Check out the trailer below:
